Last week we had the chance to enjoy a delicious and original dining experience in Tickets restaurant.
Run by chef Albert Adrià, this one Michelin star restaurant is located in the area of Parallel, in Barcelona.
The Adrià brothers, Ferran (former of El Bulli) and Albert, have established their headquarter in Parallel, and their empire “el barri Adrià” counts with 6 gastronomic restaurants: Tickets (tapas), Pakta (Nikkei), Hoja Santa & El Niño Viejo (Mexican), Bodega 1900 (Bodega) and the recently-opened Enigma.
Why is Tickets so unique, and one my top 5 restaurants in the world?
First of all, despite its Michelin star, Tickets atmosphere is really casual: each waiter and cook has its own personality and style.
Once you walk through the door, the colorful circus decoration makes you feel like you just entered an enchanted place, like in Tim Burton’s movies.
The best way to enjoy its marvelous cuisine is order the tasting menu, that your waiter will personally design for your table, depending on your preferences or requirements (such as allergies or specific diets).
Every plate is a wonder. My favorites: Manchuego cheese airbags, grilled octopus, Coulommiers cheesecake. And the olives. You MUST TRY them (seriously). It’s a life experience.
Enjoy your Tickets experience and share it with us, we will be glad to hear from you!
